The following change is being made to the online version on KEESM Revision No. 20.

KEESM Section 2833 (2) was revised effective October 1, 2004 based on an information presented to the Kansas Legislature during the 2004 session regarding who is responsible for paying for child care costs when a foster child is involved and placed with a non-licensed approved relative. This was discussed in Item IV, A, 2 of the Summary of Change for the October, 2004 revision.

It has since been determined that this is an incorrect interpretation. Section 2833 (2) is being reverted to the wording that was in effect prior as of the July 1, 2004 KEESM Manual.
