KEES uses Requested Medical Types (RMTs). RMTs are data elements associated to a person’s application, restricting the rules’ in the medical hierarchy. This is used to apply for a specific type of medical benefit (such as MAGI, LTC, etc.).
Reference the RMT listed next to a person’s name within the program block to determine whether the program block is usable or not.

Medical
PPS (Prevention and Protection Services)
Working Healthy
LTC (Long Term Care)
MSP (Medicare Savings Program)
Inmate
Resource Assessment Only
Qualified Disabled Working Individual
From the Case Summary page:
Click the View Details button in the Medical program block. The Medical Program Detail page displays.
Click the Edit button to make the Medical Program Detail page editable.
Click the Edit button for the program person’s name in the program person’s block. The Medical Person Detail page displays.
Click the Add button in the Requested Medical Type block. The Requested Medical Type Detail page displays.
Using the Requested Medical Type drop-down menu, select the appropriate Requested Medical Type.
Select the Begin Month for the Requested Medical Type.
Click the Save and Return button.
NOTE: Use the following guidance when selecting a Requested Medical Type. If:
MAGI, select MAGI.
Inmate, select Inmate.
Long Term Care, select LTC.
Medicare Savings Plans only is requested, select MSP.
Qualified Disabled Working Individual only is requested, select Qualified Disabled Working Individual.
Requesting a Resource Assessment only and not applying for Medical, select Resource Assessment Only.
Working Healthy is requested, select Working Healthy and select the Pays FICA or SECA Taxes check box if applicable.
All other requests, select Medical.
The Medical Person Detail page displays with the updated Requested Medical Type. Click the Save and Return button. The Medical Program Detail page displays.
Repeat for each program person requiring a Requested Medical Type.
Click the Save and Return button on the Medical program Detail page to return to the Case Summary page.
