KEES uses effective dating to associate begin and end dates to each piece of data collected for certain types of records. Effective dating functionality ensures there are no gaps or overlaps in the time line for a record. When a user adds a new record to a data collection page with existing data, KEES end dates the previous record instead of removing it. By using effective dating KEES preserves the history of information. This allows the user to re-run EDBC for past months for overpayments, appeals, etc.
KEES utilizes effective dating for the following pages:
NOTE: It is important to review information on the Effective Dating Confirmation List page for accuracy. If the information is accurate, the user clicks the Save button. KEES allows the user to view records from a specific date range of history on most data collection List pages.
