MPI is the centralized storage of principal information for each consumer in KEES.
The MPI serves as the system of record for all person-based information throughout KEES.
MPI issues a “client ID number” that identifies a person throughout KEES in addition to the legacy systems: Child Support Services (CSS), Kansas Management Information Systems (KMIS), Family and Children Tracking System (FACTS) and Kansas Initiative for Decision.
The KEES MPI uses the same client ID numbering scheme used in legacy systems.
This is done by accessing the Person Search page. It is important to complete a thorough search to avoid creating duplicate persons or additional case numbers during the File Clearance and Registration process.
Select Case Info from Global Navigation. The Person Search page displays.
Complete a search with as much of the consumer’s information as possible:
First Name and Last Name
Social Security Number
Date of Birth
Client ID (10 digits)
NOTE: Case Number search results will always be returned by TPI. Case Number is unique to KEES and is not stored in the MPI.
*The chart below represents search criteria that will always return a result as long as all fields used are an exact match*

NOTE: If the consumer is not found, both First Name and Last Name fields utilize a wild card search. Therefore, the user can enter partial first and last names to get a larger return on their search. For example, if the user was looking for Barbara Jenkins, they could enter Bar in the First Name field and Jenk in the Last Name field. This would return any persons whose first three letters of their first name are ‘Bar’ and the first four letters of their last name are ‘Jenk’.
