NOTE: Always Rescind before you Reapply. If some Program Persons need to be Rescinded and others are a new request that requires a Reapply, always complete the Rescind first. See Reconsideration Period for more information on when to Rescind vs Reapply.
Reapply allows a user to log a new application on an existing Denied or Discontinued program. The Reapply button does not display for a denied or discontinued program if there is an approved application for ALL persons in the future or if there is already a pending application for all persons. All Case Persons should be added to the case prior to completing the reapply process. See Add a Case Person for more information.
NOTE: Add or update Contact Information prior to registering the new application date. See Add Address for more information.
Change the Display Date to the month the reapplication takes place (the Application month) using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.
Click the View button to refresh the page with the new display date.
Click the ‘caret’ of the collapsed Medical program block to expand the block and review the program details.
In the Medical program block, click the View Details button. The Medical Detail page displays.
Click the Edit button to make the page editable.
Click the Reapply button. The New / Reapplication Detail page displays.
Using the Case Application drop-down menu select one of the following:
E-App Number-Date: used for e-Applications received through the:
FFM
SSP
Worker Portal
LIS (MIPPA)
NOTE: Select the applicable e-App Number-Date. This will tie the e-Application to the Program.
NOTE: For requests made via phone (Add a Person) if there is an existing application that has not been processed, and is within 45 days of the original request, the e-App ID Number of the original request should be selected in the dropdown.
New Case Application: used for:
Specialty Applications such as BCC
Phone or Add a Person requests when the application has already been processed but is still within 45 days:
New Case Application should be selected from the dropdown and the original application date should be used.
Phone or Add a Person requests when the application has already been processed but is past the 45-day mark:
New Case Application should be selected from the dropdown and the new application date should be entered.
Enter the Application Date and the Beginning Date of Aid using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.
Click the Add button in the Requested Medical Type block. The Requested Medical Type Detail page displays.
Select the appropriate Requested Medical Type using the drop-down menu.
Select the Begin Month for the Requested Medical Type.
NOTE: Use the following guidance when selecting a Requested Medical Type:
If MAGI, select MAGI.
If Inmate, select Inmate.
If Long Term Care, select LTC.
If Medicare Savings Plans only is requested, select MSP.
If Qualified Disabled Working Individual only is requested, select Qualified Disabled Working Individual.
If requesting a Resource Assessment only and not applying for Medical, select Resource Assessment Only.
If Working Healthy is requested, select Working Healthy and select the Pays FICA or SECA Taxes check box if applicable.
All other requests, select Medical.
Click Save and Return.
NOTE: If the application date is 6 months old or greater the following error message will display.
Error! Application Date – The application Date cannot be more than six months prior to the current date.
A Help Desk ticket will be needed to reapply the program block.
The Medical Person Detail page displays with the updated Requested Medical Type.
Click the Save and Return button.
Select the Name check boxes for the applicants.
Click the Save and Return button.
If New Case Application was selected on the New / Reapplication Detail page the New Case Application page displays.
Select Paper from the Source drop-down menu.
Verify the Primary applicant field is accurate.
Click the Save and Continue button.
The Medical Detail page displays. If you receive a warning message, see Reapply Warning Messages.
Click the Save and Return button. The Case Summary page displays.
