Summary of Changes for Kansas Economic and Employment Services Manual (KEESM) Revision No. 90 effective Nov. 01, 2018

OVERVIEW OF CHANGES

A brief overview of the major changes is described below. Other clarifications and technical corrections are also included and described in the next section. Additional technical corrections not mentioned here are being incorporated in KEESM as needed.

Child Care –Effective Nov. 1, 2018, a benefit rate adjustment is being made based on the most recent Kansas Child Care Market Analysis. In addition, the annual maximum enrollment fee payable for a child is increasing and the annual family maximum is being eliminated.

      1. The Child Care Plan - KEESM section 7600 is being modified to reflect that DCF can provide up to $50 per child, per case, within a rolling 12-month time period towards an enrollment fee. There is no maximum ceiling per family.

Child Care

C-18, Maximum Hourly Child Care Provider Rate Schedule has been updated with the new county groupings and rates effective November 1, 2018.
