ImageNow Printer for KEES Case (Email + Attachment)

 

  1. Change your default printer to ImageNow Printer.

  2. Click on the Start icon in the lower left corner. The Start Menu displays.

  3. Click Devices and Printers from the Start Menu. The Devices and Printers Menu displays

  4. Find the printer label ImageNow Printer and right click on it. Options window displays.

  5. Click on Set as default printer. The ImageNow Printer has a green check mark on it. Close the Devices and Printers window.

  6. Access ImageNow.

  7. Left click the drop-down caret for the Applications button on the ImageNow Toolbar.

  8. Set KEES Case as the default application plan.  (See Setting Default Application Plan.)

  9. Log into KEES.

  10. Navigate to the Case Summary page for the case associated to the documents.
    NOTE:  When selecting KEES Case as the application plan, ensure you are in the context of a case and on the KEES Case Summary page in order to auto-populate the Case Number and the Case Name in the following steps.  Do NOT minimize the KEES Case Summary page.  ImageNow is not able to read the IP Address if the page is minimized and an error displays.

  11. Outside of KEES, navigate to the e-mail the user wishes to capture.

  12. Click the File tab on the top left corner of the screen.

  13. Click the Print button. The Print Preview page displays.

  14. Select the ImageNow Printer under Printer drop-down menu.

  15. Click the Print Options.  The Print dialog displays.

  16. Click the “Print attached files.  Attachments will print to the default printer only” check box under Print Options.

  17. Click Print.
    NOTE:  The next two steps happen simultaneously.

  18. The ImageNow Print displays.  Select IN Printer – Case as the desired capture profile.

  19. Click the OK button.

  20. The Opening Mail Attachment dialog box displays.  Click the Open button.

  21. The Enter Received Date dialog box displays with the current date auto-populated.
    NOTE: The Default Date is the current date and the user can manually change the date if needed.

  22. Click the OK button.

  23. The Proposed Keys dialog box displays and is auto-populated with Case Number, Case Name, Received Date and Unique ID.

  24. Select the appropriate Document Type from the drop-down menu.

  25. Click the Capture button.

  26. Two ImageNow Viewers opens in a separate window.

  27. Click the Submit buttons available on both ImageNow Viewer windows.

  28. Change your default printer back to your regular printer.
