Submit a New User Request

When an employee requests access to KEES, they are required to submit a KEES User Request by contacting their designated KEES Submitter for their region and business area. The KEES Submitter uses the provided user information to submit a request using the Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) system.

NOTE: See DCF Submitter & Approver List or KDHE Submitter & Approver List for designated submitters and approvers in the user’s region and business area.

  1. Navigate to OIM.

  2. Enter the User Login and Password. Click the Sign In button. The OIM Self Service page displays.

  3. Click the Create Request link. The Request Beneficiary page displays.

  4. Select Request for Others and click the Next button. The Select Request Template page displays.

  5. Select Create KEES User and click the Next button. The Enter Details page displays.

  6. Enter the new KEES user information.

    NOTE: The KEES Security Group is approved and assigned by the KEES Security Administrator.

  7. Click the Next button. The Justification page displays.

  8. Enter the Effective Date and type the Justification Details for the request.

  9. Click the Finish button to submit the approval request. OIM displays a Request ID for the submitter’s reference.

    NOTE: Click the Request ID number to view details of the request. The information on the request details is for the approvers to review.

  10. Click on the Request History tab to review the status of the request.

Submitters:

 When you submit a New User Request, please take note of the Request ID Number and notify your Approver(s) that Task (Request ID) number <#> is awaiting their approval in OIM.

Approvers:

If you return a New User Task to the Submitter for more information, please also remember to notify them that you are returning Request ID (Task) number <#>.

NOTE: The Request ID number to the Submitter becomes a Task ID number to the Approver and the Security Administrator.  They are one in the same.
