4150 Home and-Community Based Services (HCBS) Assistance Planning - This category of assistance planning applies to individuals who receive care through the State's approved home-and-community based services waivers. Such care may be provided in either a noninstitutional (e.g., own home, adult facility home, etc.) or institutional (e.g., residential care facility) (setting and may be either medical and/or non-medical in nature. Individuals receiving HCBS may be eligible for cash.

 

4160 Specialized Living Assistance Planning - Individuals in specialized living arrangements may be eligible for cash assistance.

 

This category of assistance planning applies to individuals who reside in non-medical living arrangements which are publicly funded or funded by not-for-profit agencies or organizations which provide living arrangements for individuals or families having an identified physical, mental, or social condition that requires an element of care or supervision. This would include, but is not limited to, alcohol or drug abuse facilities licensed or certified by AAPS, living arrangements sponsored by community mental health centers or similar agencies, shelter for battered persons, temporary shelters for the homeless, and other non-medical residential care facilities.
