7660 Suspending Benefits - Benefits may be suspended by entering zero hours on the child care plan for months care is not needed. Benefits may be suspended up to 90 days as long as the family remains financially eligible, is eligible under a child care subtype, and responds to their redetermination responsibilities. Examples of a need for suspension include but are not limited to: parent's maternity or other temporary leave, child's illness, temporary unemployment, a summer or holiday visit to the absent parent or other relative, or school age children requiring child care when the family share exceeds the cost of care during the school year.
