12400 Issuance Timeline

For streamlined certified households and households certified through application during the school year, benefits will be issued 7 to 14 days before the start of the Summer Operational Period. Benefits will be issued on a staggered schedule based on last name. For eligible households who apply during the Summer Operational Period, benefits will be issued within 15 business days. Even though benefits will not be issued until just before the Summer Operational Period begins, DCF will send out notices to all applicants once an eligibility determination has been made informing them of the determination.
