2840 Priorities for Child Care Services – The agency has established the following priorities for families receiving child care assistance:
- Priority Code #1 - Families participating in Work Programs who are receiving TANF or food assistance, and Tribal TANF recipients.
- Priority Code #2 - Families receiving child care for a qualified Social Service reason.
- Priority Code #3 - Families no longer eligible for TANF transitioning to employment whose income is at or below -250%- of the federal poverty level.
- Priority Code #4 - Teen parents completing high school/GED.
- Priority Code #5 - Families who claim to be homeless (self-declaration is accepted) and need child care to maintain employment or participate in an approved educational plan.
- Priority Code #6 - Employed families whose income is at or below 250% of the federal poverty level.
