The KEES migration to the cloud is on target for this Friday. This is a reminder that KEES will be unavailable after business hours on Thursday, January 16th through Monday, January 20th.
Do Not Sign In On Tuesday Morning: KEES is scheduled to be up and available on Tuesday, January 21st; HOWEVER, we ask that all users stay out of KEES while a system test is conducted to verify there are no significant issues. It is anticipated this will last until 10am.
Staff will be notified through a KEES Production Notification email when the system is available to all users. At that time, staff may sign in and begin processing.
Due to KEES migration, the Buy In Deletion Report will be available to eligibility staff on January 10th, 2020. This means the Buy In Deletion Report will need to be completed by 5:00 PM on January 16th 2020. Any cases newly authorized between the 10th and the 16th that qualify for immediate buy in, or cases that need the deletion to be removed from the CMS file, will need to have an email sent to the DXC Buy In team, ksxix-buyin@dxc.com, by 5:00 on January 16th, 2020 so they can be manually processed.
When adding a facility to a case, the Provider ID listed on the Active Nursing Facility (NF) List must be used rather than typing in the name.
The Share of Cost for HCBS refers to the amount found on the 3160 or 3161 rather than the daily rate of the facility times 31 that is used for nursing facilities.
When income does not meet the 300% rule, $9999 is entered rather than calculating the cost of care.
If an MCO was not selected on an HCBS case and the consumer was not able to be reached to select one, the system is to automatically select the MCO. Use Provider ID 1246712 HCBS MCO PLACEHOLDER (which has recently been renamed) in the Data Details Record for the MCO Agency. This will cause the system to select the MCO automatically in MMIS within 24-48 hours. Remember: Return to the case after the selection has been made in MMIS and update the Provider ID from 1246712 HCBS MCO PLACEHOLDER to the one that is now displayed in MMIS.
Per Medical KEESM 1322.1(1)b, zero earnings apply to MDN, MediKan, and MSP in addition to Family Medical. It does not apply to Long Term Care or Working Healthy. KEES User Manal has been updated to more clearly reflect this.
The Trust and Annuity Clearance Process has been updated in the KEES User Manual. It now refers to the B-6.1 Annuity Clearance Request Form and B-6.2 Trust Clearance Request Form. This document outlines the process of setting up a task to send the request to Policy. All needed documents related to the trust/annuity must be on file before setting up the task. The Policy Team will determine if the trust/annuity is countable or not, journal their findings, and update the task to go back to the eligibility worker. The eligibility worker will determine the value of the trust/annuity, enter necessary KEES records, and continue their determination for the case.
Money Follows the Person (MFP) ended on December 31, 2018. References to MFP have been removed from the KEES User Manual.
Instructions have been added for creating PMDT Referral and PMDT Return tasks through the Contact Log.
DCF Processing Deadlines – Year 2020 can be found on the DCF Intranet under Policy and Procedures.
