The KMMS Monthly Batch has been updated to run a daily earlier in January and February. Please click here for the updated KDHE Processing Deadlines for FY25.
January 22, 2025, with February monthly eligibility
February 19, 2025, with March monthly eligibility
We have identified a small number of programs that did not have a report record created, or the review form sent to the consumer by the Medical Reviews batch. Most of the impacted programs had a Review Due Date of February 2025. KEES Help Desk tickets are not needed as the population has already been identified. We are working on a solution for getting these back through the review process. Please do not send pre-populated review forms manually.
We are aware that No Touch is registering all household members, regardless of who is applying. If you come across this issue, please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket. The additional household members should be denied using Negative Action (Voluntary Withdrawal) at the time of processing.
We are aware of some consumer’s names being shortened when a multi-month NOA is generated, if the consumer has a long name (approximately 17 characters including spaces). Until this issue has been fixed, staff should avoid running multi-month EDBC. KEES Help Desk tickets are not needed.
When SSP applications are submitted with multiple Authorized Representatives, only one Authorized Representative is being mapped to the e-Application Summary page in KEES. Please ensure that all Authorized Representatives are being added to the program block by using the PDF of the application.
We are aware that the Passive Response Run Reason is not allowing a negative benefits change for someone who was passively reviewed. Until this issue has been fixed, staff should cancel out of the EDBC when they see a CE Budget produced, and instead run EDBC using the CE Reset Run Reason. The CE End Date will then need to be shortened back to where it was originally set. It is not necessary to submit KEES Help Desk tickets.
The Reviews Discontinuance Batch will run 01/15/2025 for reviews that were due in December 2024. Staff will see closures for Failure to Return Review.
When the Medical Reviews Discontinuance Batch runs EDBC for the benefit month, it uses the RE Run Reason. This batch will only discontinue the program persons that were required to return a review. Any program persons who were not due for a review, or were passively eligible, will continue to receive coverage and the program’s RE Due Date will be updated to match the next person’s RE Due Date (in the case of Family Medical Programs, this would be the next available CE End Date). This means if the person who was discontinued for failure to return their review decides to return it, the RE Run Reason would not be needed and will not be available.
The KanCare Proactive Communication Schedule is available on the KEES Repository under KDHE Communications. The calendar was updated on 12/09/2024 to include holidays for the months of 09/2024 through 08/2025.
