Buy In Reminder

The Buy In Deletion Report will be available to eligibility staff on February 12th this month. The Buy In file will be sent to CMS early on the morning of the 19th.  This means the Buy In Deletion Report will need to be completed by February 18th.  Any cases newly authorized between the 12th and the 18th that qualify for immediate buy in, or cases that need the deletion to be removed from the CMS file, will need to have an email sent to the DXC Buy In team no later than 2:00 PM on the 18th so they can be manually processed.  ksxix-buyin@dxc.com

Non-Medical Programs

Address Begin Date Mapping

In some instances, the Begin Date on the Address Detail page maps in as the Submitted Date of the e-Application instead of the Application Date. Staff need to update and reject the Begin Date that comes in from the SSP when this occurs.

 

e-Applications Submitted for EES Programs

When an e-Application is submitted through the SSP for LIEAP or Food Assistance, TANF, and/or Child Care with the incorrect office location of KanCare Clearinghouse, the application date may be incorrect. Medical and Non-Medical programs use different application date logic for SSP applications submitted on weekends or after 5:00 PM on weekdays. The application date for anything submitted during these time periods should be the next business date for DCF programs. If DCF staff receive an e-Application with the KanCare Clearinghouse listed as the office location in error, they need to also check the application date. If the application date is incorrect, register the application prior to e-linking the e-Application to the case number. Using this process allows registration staff to manually enter the correct application date without any downstream impacts. A ServiceNow ticket should be logged if the wrong applicate date is registered in error.
