Reviews Discontinuance Batch

The Reviews Discontinuance Batch ran on 02/13/2025 for reviews that were due in January 2025. Staff will see closures for Failure to Return Review.

Please note:

When the Medical Reviews Discontinuance Batch runs EDBC for the benefit month, it uses the RE Run Reason. This Batch will only discontinue the program persons that were required to return a review. Any program persons who were not due for a review, or were passively eligible, will continue to receive coverage and the program’s RE Due Date will be updated to match the next person’s RE Due Date (in the case of Family Medical Programs, this would be the next available CE End Date). This means if the person who was discontinued for failure to return their review decides to return it, the RE Run Reason would not be needed and will not be available.

Children Determined for a Passive Review With Self-Employment Income on Case

We are aware of the Medical Reviews Type Determination Batch determining individuals for a Passive Review when self-employment income is high-dated on the case. Even if the consumer meets all passive criteria, self-employment should change the review type for all individuals on the case to Pre-Populated per policy. If you encounter this issue, please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket. After submitting the ticket, staff will need to send a Pre-Populated Review form with a 30-day due date. The V008 will need to be sent to indicate the review is required for the children.

Medical Text Notification Opt-In for Non HH Member - Permanently Out of the Home

We are aware of a consumer’s Medical Text Notification Opt-in displaying on cases where the consumer is marked Permanently Out of the Home. Please NOTE: If that individual is not the casehead, they will not receive information about that case. If you come across this issue, submit a KEES Help Desk ticket.

Incorrect Dates of Service on SOBRA NOA

We are aware that the SOBRA NOA is sometimes displaying incorrect Dates of Service. If you encounter this issue, submit a KEES Help Desk ticket with screenshots. Include how many Other Program Assistance records were reported in that benefit month. Delete the system generated NOA and create a manual NOA with the correct Dates of Service.

Task Did Not Generate

We are aware of the Admin Role Update task not always generating when a facilitator form is submitted. If you encounter this issue, please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket. While staff are processing requests for coverage, please ensure that admin role requests are addressed appropriately.

Multi-Month EDBC Producing Blank Determination

We are aware of Multi-Month EDBC sometimes producing a blank determination for the month of application. If you encounter this issue, submit a KEES Help Desk ticket with screenshots. Staff can run EDBC using Single-Month EDBC instead.

KDOL UC Data is Not Displayed

We are aware of KEES occasionally not displaying KDOL Unemployment Data when a consumer is receiving KDOL Unemployment Compensation (UC). To verify Kansas Unemployment income, medical staff with access can utilize the Kansas Unemployment Portal. If a consumer has KDOL UC that was not found by KEES, please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket with screenshots.
