Updating Addresses for Children in Foster Care

The Foster Care Child Care (FCCC) unit has seen an increase in the number of cases where the addresses for children in foster care are being updated to that of the Primary Applicant on EES cases in KEES, and not being left as the address for the CMP they are associated with. PPS typically establishes these cases in KEES when the child enters foster care and are then receiving foster care child care.  The changing of the address for the FCCC cases is happening most frequently at registration when a foster child is on an application for Food Assistance and/or TANF.  As addresses are shared across cases in KEES, when eligibility updates the address it also updates the address on the PPS case file. This causes potential safety issues for these children. Because the FCCC cases are for the most part coming over on special applications, this issue is specific to children who are on other types of cases, like being included on a Food Assistance and/or TANF case. A desk aid has been created in an effort to help staff identify and recognize these cases and is on the DCF Intranet site.

Non-Medical Processing Deadlines

DCF Processing Deadlines – Year 2021 have been updated and can be found on the DCF Intranet under Policy and Procedures and in the KEES Non-Medical User Manual.
