We would like to thank everyone who took the time to submit tickets to the KEES Help Desk when a 404 Error was received. We feel we now have enough information to move forward on this and no longer need staff to submit tickets.
The KEES Help Desk has received an increase of incident tickets requesting a rescind for months in which a member has a status of Ineligible. As a reminder, members can only be rescinded if their status is Denied or Discontinued in the month needing to be rescinded. An Ineligible status is typically an indication that EDBC was run and accepted in an already paid month. Meaning, the member was already approved and benefits already paid out in KMMS. Prior to requesting this action by the KEES Help Desk, workers should review the member’s eligibility in KMMS.
We are aware there is an issue when a child reports SSA income and wages, both income types are counting towards the determination when it is below the MAGI children’s threshold. Please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket when you come across this issue while processing. If you have questions when a child’s income is countable, please see KFMAM 05100 General Guidelines and the current F-8 Chart.
We are aware there is an issue for the Medically Needy Base Period shortening to one-month when coverage was discontinued, and the program block was rescinded. Please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket when you come across this issue while processing. Staff will then need to override the EDBC following the steps outlined in Troubleshooting-Medically Needy Spenddown – the override starts on Step 3.
