Buy In Reminder

The Buy In Deletion Report will be available to eligibility staff on the 14th of each month unless notified.  The Buy In file will be sent to CMS early on the morning of the 21st.  This means the Buy In Deletion Report will need to be completed by 5:00 PM on April 19, 2019.  KEES does not send MMIS updates on the weekend.  Any cases newly authorized between the 14th and the 19th that qualify for immediate buy in, or cases that need the deletion to be removed from the CMS file, will need to have an email sent to the DXC Buy In team no later than 2:00 PM on the 19thth so they can be manually processed.   ksxix-buyin@dxc.com

PPS Programs

Medical Eligibility Discontinuance

It has been discovered that the MMIS needs the Resource/Org Status for Placement Providers/PPS Payees to be Active. The Placement Provider/PPS Payee listed on the Medical program block has to have an Resource/Org Status of Active. This is separate from the need for a Placement Provider or PPS Payee on the FC or AA program block. If a placement has an expired license with CLARIS, the Org Status is updated to Suspended in the Foster Care RDB.  If CLARIS shows the placement still has a current license, but the Resource is Suspended, please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket (do NOT create a manual RDB entry).  If a SMART vendor is Closed, it shows as Closed in the RDB.

The Placement Provider/PPS Payee on the Medical program block must have an Active Org Status. This means no matter what the FC or AA program block is using, the Medical program block has to have a RDB entry with an ACTIVE Org Status. This may mean a manual RDB entry will need to be used. First search for an existing manual RDB entry. If a manual RDB entry exists, make sure it is Active before assigning it to the Medical program block. If no manual RDB entry already exists, a new manual RDB entry will need to be created for the Medical program block.

A Medical program block must have an ACTIVE Placement Provider or PPS Payee for MMIS to issue medical benefits.

A K2K will follow with further directions and assistance on this matter.
