Medical Processing Deadlines

Final KDHE Processing Deadlines - Fiscal Year 2021 has been updated and can be found on the KEES Repository under Other Helpful Information. 

 

 

Non-Medical Programs

 

Child Care Supplemental Benefits for September:

Child Care Supplemental benefits for September will be issued from KEES for existing Child Care plans the night of Thursday, September 3rd.  A journal entry will be created on impacted cases and a notice will be sent to families. The supplemental payment can be found on the Issuance History page with an Issuance Status of Cancelled and Status Reason of System.

 

An Issuance Status of Cancelled is being used so that EDBC rules do not take the supplemental issuance amount into account if staff need to re-run EDBC for September.  If staff need to re-run EDBC for September, they should not manually update the Family Plan to give additional benefits for school aged kids if they already received the supplemental benefit from KEES.  Staff need to click on the Issuance Number hyperlink to view the System status reason. The List page will only show a Cancelled status.

 

In addition, Distributed Documents will display with a document titled COVID: September Child Care Benefits. The journal entry will read: Additional Child Care benefit issued to bring total September 2020 benefits for school age child(ren) up to August 2020 level due to COVID-19 pandemic and changes to school scheduling. This is reflected on the Issuance History page with an Issuance status of Cancelled and a status reason of System.
