In November 2021, Pandemic TANF (PTANF) benefits were issued to TANF recipients who qualified for the benefit. We did another issuance intended to pick up any additional households who have since qualified from November 12, 2021, through May 11, 2023. The PTANF benefit issuance ran in KEES over the weekend on 9/1. An issuance record and journal entry is viewable in KEES. Benefits were made available for clients on their EBT cards beginning 9/5. A notice will also be mailed to households on 9/5, and will be viewable for staff in Distributed Documents on 9/6.
Staff will be able to identify the difference between a monthly TANF issuance and PTANF by looking at the following information on Issuance History:
Issuance Category will be Supplemental.
The issuance date will be a date other than the first day of the month.
The benefit amount will be an amount different from a standard TANF benefit amount.
And the Current Status will be Cancelled.

The PPS Payment Schedule for FY 2024 has been updated in the KEES Non-Medical User Manual.
