The KEES Help Desk has received reports of duplicate penalty records. Please note that once the premium has been paid, or the penalty period has been served, a subsequent record for the same penalty period will be created to show the updated status, as shown below. This is not a duplicate penalty record. The types of delinquency status are:
Active – Consumer is still within the 3 months period.
Negated – Consumer paid the premium before the start date of the penalty period, or the individual is approved and received Medicaid coverage for all months of the penalty period.
Shortened – Consumer paid the premium after the start of the penalty period but before the end of the penalty period, or the individual is approved and receives Medical coverage for any month after the start of the penalty period but before the end of the penalty period.
Served – The penalty period has been served without any payment made.
