CSS Referrals and the Noncustodial Parent Page

Reminder from the 10/17/2017 Dispatch:

Non-Custodial Parent information was converted from both KS Cares and KAECSES. If the child was participating on both a KS Cares and KAECSES program then two Non-Custodial Parent records were converted to KEES. When completing case action, staff should review the Noncustodial Parent List page to see if duplicate records exist. If there is more than 1 record for the same parent, staff should keep the most accurate record and remove the duplicate record to prevent duplicate CSS referrals when running EDBC.

In addition to information in the 10/17/2017 Dispatch:

As a reminder, staff should review the Noncustodial Parent page of any existing cases.  

• Staff should uncheck the referral check box for any children who are no longer participating in the program to avoid sending a referral on nonparticipating household members.

• There may be an existing record from conversion or a previous application, even if there are no Non-custodial Parents listed for the program.  Staff should uncheck the referral check box for any children when the non-custodial parent is now in the home.
