Inability to Process Food Assistance due to Expedited Service Hard Stop Message at EDBC

A build went into KEES over the weekend to fix setting the File Date to the Application Date any time a worker creates or updates a FA program on the Program Detail page.  A date in the File Date triggers KEES to think the consumer answered Yes the question Have any of the Expedited Services questions been answered? Because KEES was auto setting the File Date, it triggered the unwanted validation message. Any Food Assistance applications picked up to work prior to end of day Friday, December 1st will need to apply the workaround.

It is important to note that the validation message below will still appear as expected if Yes is indicated for the question Have any of the Expedited Services questions been answered? but the Entitled field on the Food Assistance program block is not completed. Issuing Supportive Services for Employment Services

When issuing Transportation Services, a Need Type of Bus Pass or Gas Card should not be selected. The issuance of bus passes and gas cards is done off system and not through KEES. Selecting these values causes errors when staff try to issue a payment in KEES because staff cannot indicate if the payment should be issued from EBT or SMART. As a result, additional work has to be completed to cancel these payments.

 

Skipped Issuances

When receiving calls from consumers regarding benefits not issued or available on their EBT card, please verify the reason why the issuance was skipped and make sure the issue has been addressed on the case. Common skipped issuance reasons include:
