Assigning a Worker ID to a Program Block

This information was shared in the 9/28 KEES Dispatch, but continues to be an issue. Remember to assign a Worker ID to the Program Block during the case registration process. Authorized benefits without a Worker ID for the program will not be issued. Program blocks that do not have a worker assigned (either a Ghost Worker ID or a caseworker) will be skipped by automated batch processing. This includes denial for no interview, batch EDBC, recovery account processes, etc. Reports will be generated on a regular basis to find programs that are missing worker assignments.

 

Child Care Provider Closures

Due to a problem with a KEES batch not running as expected, Child Care Provider Enrollment Staff will notify EES Staff of child care provider closures via email. Staff will need to end date impacted CC Plans the month following the provider’s closure date, recalculate the Family Plan and run EDBC. Staff will then need to send the C506: “Termination – Child Care Provider Agreement Ending”.

 

Task - Child Care Batch EDBC Does Not Match the Family Plan

This task is created for the Purple queue when the Child Care Family Plan does not match the Child Care EDBC results. In some instances, the difference between the Family Plan and EDBC is not obvious until the Calculate button is used on the Family Plan. Below are two common examples:

  1. The DCF Rate Update batch is not including all cases when automatically updating Family Plans when a provider has a rate change. Opening the Family Plan and clicking the Calculate button will update the rate.

  2. KEES determines a child’s age based on how old they are on the 1st of the month. This is different from KS Cares. Converted Family Plans that include an age group change can fall to mismatch for the month of the age change.

 

Updating the Review and IR/12 Month Reporting Page

Do not update the Report Status to Reviewed-Ready to Run EDBC. When records have this status, high dated EDBCs will be picked up for issuance even when eligibility has not been determined.
