The functionality of the ‘KEES Unknown Case - KDHE’ drawer and the ‘KEES Unknown Case - DCF’ drawer has been updated. Now when staff reindex one of these documents, the original document will no longer remain in the Unknown Case drawer.
Civil Rights Fragment Incorrectly Included in NOAs
Currently Medical NOAs are including a Civil Rights fragment that is intended for Non-Medical programs. As a temporary workaround until the issue is fixed, workers should do the following:
Review the NOA for accuracy as is normal procedure.
Excluding the Civil Rights fragment, is everything else accurate?
If Yes - Close the NOA by clicking the red X in the upper right corner of the NOA. DO NOT click the Save and Print Central button.
If No, follow the guidance provided below.
For notices that require appending, please do one of the following:
Continue to use the notice with the incorrect information and append as normal. Also include the statement: ‘Please disregard the Civil Rights instructions and references to DCF information listed above. Medical assistance Rights and Responsibilities are provided at the end of this notice.’
Delete the original notice and recreate it as a V008. If this option is chosen the worker MUST ensure the proper information is in the form and it is properly formatted.
Where a worker wants to add additional clarifying information that isn’t required (eg an explanation of a medical expense or a change), they will need to create a separate V008 with the information. The special V008 will lead off with a cut and paste that reads ‘We are sending this notice to provide more information about recent case action.’
No Downstream Process Application or Process Review Task Generated
This is a reminder to staff that in order to generate a downstream Process Application or Process Review task, KEES requires the following:
You must have a Pending or Active program block on the case.
The program must have a worker assigned to it.
The eApp must be linked to the case prior to completing the Intake task (applies to the Process Application task only).
