Processing Late Reviews

The steps for processing a Late Review in the KEES User Manual do not align with policy. The KEES User Manual will be updated with the guidance listed below.

Processing a Late Review or IR/12 Month Report Received in the Review Due Month for All Programs:

The Rescind process is used for discontinued program blocks when the consumer should have uninterrupted benefits.

  1. Use the Rescind button to put the person and/or program back to a Pending status.

  2. Select Review not Processed from the Rescind Reason drop-down menu.

  3. Check the Review and IR/12 Month Reporting record to make sure the Document Status is Received. If not, follow the steps for Manually Updating the Review Document Status.

NOTE: Contact the KEES Help Desk if a record does not exist.

  1. Use the appropriate Run Reason when running EDBC.

  2. Check the Review and IR/12 Month Reporting record to make sure the Document Status is Complete-EDBC Accepted. If not, follow the steps for Manually Updating the Review Document Status.

  3. Check to make sure the review period updated correctly. If not, follow the steps for Manually changing a Review Due Date.

Food Assistance Review:

The Reapply process is used for discontinued program blocks when a late Review is turned in the month after the Review due month. These late reviews should be treated like a new application on an existing program.

  1. Use the Reapply button to process a late review as an application, not a review.

  2. These late reviews are registered using an Application Date and Beginning Date of Aid as the date the late review was received.

Do not use the Reapply button if the consumer is eligible for uninterrupted benefits for an IR/12 Month Report.

TANF and/or Child Care Review:

The Reapply process is used for discontinued program blocks when a late Review is turned in the month after the Review due month.

  1. Use the Reapply button to process a late review

  2. These late reviews are registered using an Application Date and Beginning Date of Aid as the 1st of the Month.

NOTE: The 1st of the Month is used for both fields because KEES does not allow the Beginning Date of Aid to occur prior to the Application Date.
