Medical Programs

WA 484 Baby Born to Mother Receiving Foster Care Medical

Currently when a minor mother gives birth to a child while receiving Foster Care Medical, that child needs to be authorized for Medical Deemed Newborn coverage on a new separate case number. KEES will not authorized coverage for the Deemed Newborn because the new case number has no adult caretakers on the case.

Non-Medical Programs

Medicare Expenses - Correction to 4/2/18 Dispatch

All Medicare expenses need to be recorded on the Medicare Expense List page. The Expense List page should never be used to record any type of Medicare expense.

*Non-Medical staff should still be applying the workaround that was issued in the 3/20/18 Dispatch (see below).

Medical Expense Type Issue

EDBC is not allowing self-paid Medicare expenses. Until this is fixed, staff need to use the Medical Expense Type of Medical Expense (FA Only).
