Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM)

When an individual applies through the FFM, logic determines whether the individual is potentially eligible for Medicaid. The FFM interface sends applications to KEES for eligibility determinations. If applicable, KEES sends denied or discontinued applicants to the FFM as potentially eligible individuals for Qualified Health Plans (QHP). These individuals are indicated with a ‘Y’ under the QHP Screened column on the Medical EDBC Summary page.

The specific status reasons that do not send a consumer to the FFM are:

• Unrelated Prim Appl

• Didn’t Request Retro

• State Residence

• Institutionalized

• Deceased

• Out of the Home

• Ineligible Non Citizen

• Invalid Primary Applicant

• Ineligible Applicant

• Duplicate Application

• Opened In Error

• Whereabouts Unknown

• Request Exclusion

• Written Withdrawal

• Verbal Withdrawal

• Failed to Complete Determination
