The INS Document Verification Request Detail page is used to view the data returned from the VLP Interface. This page displays the information used to submit the VLP Interface request and the information received from the VLP Interface response.

 

The following five sections display on this page; sections are populated based on which Step was verified.

Use the above codes together to determine if a person is a Qualifying Non-Citizen or a Non-Qualifying Citizen.  The table below provides several examples:

Person’s immigration status is one of the qualifying statuses. However, a QNC of Y alone does not indicate they are eligible.  They much still meet the 5-year bar, if applicable.

Y

The person must have been in the USA for 5 years to be eligible.

Y

Y - It means the 5-year Bar is already met.

N

Person’s immigration status does not meet the criteria to qualify.

N

There is no set length of time which they need to have been in the country.

N

N - Means the 5-year bar has not been met.

P

Indicates that a second or third level verification is required.

X

The 5-year Bar is not applicable to this person.
