Adding a Good Cause Record - PPS

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Noncustodial Parents from Task Navigation. The Noncustodial Parent List page displays.

  2. Click the Noncustodial Parent hyperlink for which the good cause is requested.

  3. Click the Edit button. The Noncustodial Parent Detail page displays.

  4. Click the Claim Good Cause button on the bottom of the Noncustodial Detail page. The Good Cause Detail page displays. Good cause information is provided by the social worker.

  5. Select Good Cause Granted from the Claim Reason drop-down menu.

  6. Enter the Claim Date using the < mm/dd/yyyy> format or calendar icon.

  7. Do not change the defaulted Worker ID.

  8. Click the Add button in the Good Cause Status section. The Good Cause Status Detail page displays.

  9. Select Granted from the Status drop-down menu.

NOTE: The Determination drop-down menu dynamically displays. A status is required or a pending record is displayed.

  1. Select the appropriate value from the Determination drop-down menu.

  2. Enter the Status Begin Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> or calendar icon.

  3. Click the Save and Return button. The Good Cause Detail page displays.

  4. Click the Save and Return button. The Good Cause List page displays.

  5. Click the Close button. The Noncustodial Parent List page displays.

  6. Journal the Good Cause Claim Reason.
