Some examples of Liquid Resources include Bank Accounts, IRAs, Life Insurance, etc.
Access the case through Person Search or enter the Case Number in the quick search field from Task Navigation and click the Go button. The Case Summary page displays.
Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside Financial from Task Navigation to open the financial data collection pages. Select Resource from Task Navigation. The Resource List page displays.
Select Non-Medical from the Program Type drop-down menu.
Select Liquid from the Resource Category drop-down menu.
Click the Add button. The Liquid Resources Detail page displays.
Select the resource Owner(s) from the drop-down menu. If there are more than two owners, click the Add button.
Enter the percentage of the resource owned by the owner in the Percentage field.
NOTE: For Liquid resources all owners own 100% of the resource.
Enter the Begin Date of the first day of the first month the resource is to be counted for eligibility, using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.
Select the Liquid Resource Type from the drop-down menu. See KEES Non-Medical Resource Values for more information.
Select a Description value from the drop-down menu. This value is required for EDBC to determine if a resource is exempt or non-exempt. EDBC cannot build a budget if this field is not completed.
Enter the current countable value of the resource in the Current Value field.
NOTE: The Income Exempt as a Resource block is not currently being used by rules to determine the value of the resource. If the consumer has income for the month that is exempt as a resource, subtract the income amount from the total resource value then enter the newly calculated amount in the Current Value field.
Enter Financial Institution Details, if known.
Select a Verified value from the drop-down menu.
Click the Save and Add Another button to add additional Liquid Resource records. Otherwise, click the Save and Return button. The Resource List page displays.
