If a consumer and/or her family have entered a Battered Women’s shelter and the user must issue duplicate benefits for the month, the user should open a Food Assistance program for the person on a case that does not have the abuser as the Primary Applicant. A case number may already exist that can be used. The user must record a Living Arrangement of Battered Woman and Child Shelter. This Living Arrangement allows KEES to issue a second set of benefits to the consumer. See Non-Financial Data Collection Living Arrangements for more information on completing this page.
