Eligible for Aged Out Foster Care Medical

When the applicant has met the requirements for Aged Out Foster Care, the Requested Medical Type (RMT) must be updated from MAGI to PPS.

Updating the Requested Medical Type (RMT):

Within the context of the case:

1. Select Case Information from Global Navigation and Case Summary from Local Navigation.

2. Click the View Details button in the Medical Programs program block. The Medical Program Detail page displays.

3. Click the Edit button. The Medical Program Detail page redisplays in editable format.

4. Click the Edit button in the Program Persons block. The Medical Person Detail page displays.

5. Click the Add button in the Requested Medical Type block. The Requested Medical Type Detail page displays.

6. Select PPS from the Requested Medicaid Type drop-down menu.

7. Enter a Begin Month using the <mm/yyyy> format or  the calendar icon.

8. Click the Save and Return button. The Medical Person Detail displays with a Requested Medical Type of PPS.

9. If the applicant requested prior medical coverage add the months on the Medical Person Detail page in the Retro Months block. Use a Requested Medical Type of PPS. Click the Save and Return button.  The Medical Detail page displays.

10. Click the Save and Return button. The Case Summary page displays. The Medical Programs program block now reflects a RMT of PPS.
