It is best practice to keep accurate historical records for each expense. When the consumer reports a change in the Expense Type or no longer having a specific Expense, see End Dating an Existing Expense. However, if the only reported change to an expense is the Contributors or Amounts, see Modifying Existing Expense Data.
NOTE: If a Health Insurance Premium Amount or Contributor begins, changes, or ends for a consumer with an Active Medical program, KDHE must be notified via the Contact Log. See the Agency Cross Communication Guide for information on completing the appropriate Contact Log fields.
