Missing Relationship List Page - Non-Medical

The Missing Relationship List page is an optional page that can be used to determine unestablished relationships for All People Associated with the Case. It is important to note that a relationship cannot be verified from this page.  Any relationships created on this page should be verified on the Relationship Detail page or the Verification List page.

To Utilize the Missing Relationship Page

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Select Relationship from Task Navigation. The Relationship List page displays.

  2. Click the Number of relationships remaining to be created hyperlink.

  3. Select a Relationship Status from the drop-down menu that fits the relationship between Person 1 and Person 2.

  4. If applicable, select the Parental Control check box, if Person 1 has Parental Control.

    NOTE: Only one consumer should be selected to have Parental Control of a child.

    Mark Parental Control in the following instances:
    1. Child Care

      • If the Primary Applicant requesting benefits for the child(ren) is a Non-Parental Caretaker Care and Control should be selected for the child(ren) the caretaker is not a parent or step-parent to.

      • If the household contains a Step-Parent or Cohabiting Partner relationship, Care and Control must be selected for either the Parent or Step-Parent/Cohabiting Partner.

        • If the Cohabiting Partner or Step-Parent is willing and able to care for the child(ren) and his/her schedule should be considered in the Need for Care Schedule, the Care and Control check box must be selected for the Cohabiting Partner or Step-Parent.

        • If the Cohabiting Partner or Step-Parent is not willing or able to care for the child(ren) and his/her schedule should not be considered in the benefit hours calculation, then Care and Control check box must be selected for the Parent.

    2. TANF

      • If a Non-Parental Caretaker is requesting TANF Assistance for themselves as well, the Parental Control check box must be selected for the child(ren) the caretaker is not legally responsible for.

      • NOTE: The Care and Control check box should be selected when a 24 month review period is needed for a Non-Parental Caretaker TANF program.

    3. Food Assistance (FA)

      • The Parental Control check box is used to mark when an adult is responsible for the care of a dependent child under the age of 6.This can exempt the person from either Student Eligibility criteria or work related requirements.

      NOTE: Marking Parental Control is not needed when the consumer is a single parent with a child under the age of 6.

    4. Selecting the Parental Control check box automatically checks the Care and Control check box on the Relationship Detail page.

  5. Enter the relationship Begin Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  6. Complete STEP 3 - STEP 5 for all remaining persons who still need a relationship established.

  7. Click the Save and Return button. The Relationship List page displays.

  8. Click Edit on the Relationship List page for the relationship that was just established on the Missing Relationship List page. The Relationship Detail page displays.

  9. If Care and Control check box is marked, select Non-Medical for Care and Control Programs.

  10. Select a Non-Medical Verified status from the drop-down menu.

  11. Click the Save and Return button; complete STEP 8 - STEP 10 for all remaining relationships missing a Verification Status.

    NOTE: When updating, editing, or adding a verification to an existing relationship the user receives a soft warning: Error Warning – a change to relationship can affect another case.  The user needs to verify information is accurate and continue by clicking the Save and Return button.
