KEES does not count the income type of Native American - Payments from Leases or Trusts of Individually or Tribal Owned Land correctly.
If the payments do not total more than $2,000 for one year, nothing should be entered on the income page in KEES.
In order for KEES to count this income correctly, use an Income Category of Miscellaneous with an Income Type of Countable - All Programs.
The worker should figure a yearly amount then subtract $2,000 from the total yearly amount. Select a Frequency of Every Year.
Example - The Consumer receives a total of $5,000 from Native American Tribal owned Land over the year. The worker should subtract $2,000 from $5,000 to get a remaining countable amount of $3,000 annually.
Staff must also indicate Miscellaneous was used for Native American - Payments from Leases or Trusts of Individually or Tribal Owned Land in the Journal.
