Password Initial Setup

Users logging in for the first time with a temporary password are prompted to set a new password and challenge questions.

To establish a Password at Initial Setup

1. Navigate to OIM.

2. Enter the User ID and temporary Password. Click the Sign In button.

3. Enter the Temporary Password and then enter a New Password, including Confirm New Password.
   
   NOTE: Password Policy requirements include:

   • Password must be at least 12 characters long.

   • Password must contain uppercase alphabetic characters, lowercase alphabetic characters, a number and non-alphanumeric characters for example: $ # or %.

   • Password must not contain any of User ID, first name or last name.

   • Password must not be one of the 8 previous passwords .

4. Select challenge questions from the drop-down menu and provide an answer to the corresponding challenge questions.
   
   NOTE: Use the drop-down menus to view and select different challenge questions.

5. Click the Submit button once all fields on the Password Management page are complete.
