This business process flow shows the high level steps utilized to process a request to link a Self-Service Portal (SSP) account to an EES case number in KEES.
In order for consumers to complete reviews/IRs online and use the ‘Access My Benefits’ portlet, their SSP account has to be linked to their case number in KEES. Linked SSP Accounts can be viewed under the ‘All SSP Users Linked To This Case’ block on the Case Summary page. Case Linking is accomplished:
When the consumer submits an application and their application is linked and registered to a KEES case number.
By consumer request. If the consumer has an active DCF case already, they can set up an account/password and request that it be linked to their case number. In this instance, a task is created in KEES for the Purple or LIEAP queue to approve or reject the request.
Follow the process guidelines below when processing an ‘SSP Request’ task to link an SSP account to a case number in KEES.
Claim the ‘SSP Request’ task.
Click on the Review Recipient Data hyperlink in the Task Details to navigate to the Link Request Summary page.
Complete a Search if needed from the Link Request Summary page to populate the ABMS Person Search block.
Click on the Case Number hyperlink from Account Linking Information block to view the Case Summary information.
Verify the case has an Active or Pending program block, the person making the request is Pending or Active, and not listed as Permanently Out of the Home or Temporarily Out of the Home. If not, reject the request. Otherwise, select the case number and link the request.
Finish the task.
SSP Account information must be linked to a case number in KEES in order for consumers to complete reviews/IRs electronically and view their case information in the Access My Benefits portlet.
An SSP account can also be unlinked from a case number in KEES.
A request to unlink an account can be made electronically by the consumer through the SSP. In this instance, a task is created in KEES for the Purple or LIEAP queue to unlink the account.
Use the ACSSP User Detail page to manually unlink an accout without a request submitted through the SSP. Scenarios that require an account to be manually unlinked include:
When a Case Head or Primary Applicant on a case verbally requests an SSP account be removed.
When staff are registering a program on an existing case number and notice an SSP account holder is no longer in the household.
When a consumer reports a household member as ‘Out of the Home’ and the household member has an SSP account
When there is a child on the case who is ‘Temporarily Out of the Home’ due to Foster Care.
The ACSSP Registration Search page is a repository for all Case Linking Requests. SSP Case Linking Requests for EES and Medical programs are all listed on this page. Use the source drop-down menu to fitler requests made from the DCF SSP.
