Child Care Need Parent - FCCC

The Child Care Need Parent page captures the reason(s) the parent/caretaker is applying for child care.  If the consumer does not have a qualified need at application or review, the program should be denied using a Negative Action reason of No Need Indicated.  For more information on using Negative Action see Deny or Discontinue Using Negative Action - FCCC.

Adding a Child Care Need for a Parent/Caretaker - FCCC

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside Child Care from Task Navigation to open the Child Care data collection pages. Select Child Care Need Parent from Task Navigation. The Child Care Needs List – Parent page displays.
  2. Click the Add button.  The Child Care Need Detail Parent page displays.
  3. Select the parent/caretaker’s name from the Name drop-down menu.

NOTE:  If all relationships have not been completed for the case, nothing will be available in the Name drop-down menu and a page warning displays.

  1. Select FCCC-Foster Care Child Care from the Need Reasons multi-select menu. 
  2. Enter the Begin Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.  The begin date is the application date or the first day for the need for child care.
  3. Click the Save and Return button. The Child Care Needs List – Parent page displays.

End Dating a Child Care Need for a Parent/Caretaker - FCCC

  1. Select Eligibility from Global Navigation. Select Customer Information from Local Navigation. Click the + beside Child Care from Task Navigation to open the Child Care data collection pages. Select Child Care Need Parent from Task Navigation. The Child Care Needs List – Parent page displays.

  2. Click the Edit button for the record that needs edited.  The Child Care Need Detail Parent page displays.

  3. Enter the End Date using the <mm/dd/yyyy> format or the calendar icon.

  4. Click the Save and Return button.  The Child Care Needs List – Parent page displays.
