Password Initial Setup

Users logging in for the first time with a temporary password are prompted to set a new password and challenge questions.

Establish a Password at Initial Setup

1. Navigate to OIM.

2. Enter the User Login and temporary Password. Click the Sign In button.

3. Enter the Old Password and a New Password, on the Password Management page.
   
   NOTE: Password Policy requirements include:

   • The password is at least 12 characters long.

   • The password contains characters from at least three of the following four categories:

   • • English Uppercase Characters (A-Z)

     • Base 10 Digits (0-9)

     • English Lowercase Characters (a-z)

     • Non-alphanumeric (for example: !, $, # or ^)

   • The password does not contain any user ID, first name or last name.

   • The password is not one of 8 previously used passwords.

4. Select challenge questions from the drop-down menu and provide an answer to the corresponding challenge questions.
   
   NOTE: Use the drop-down menus to view and select different challenge questions.

5. Click the Submit button once all fields on the Password Management page are complete.
