Q: Why am I receiving the error “This Program is not supported by Multi-Month EDBC. All months must be in a Pending status?
A: This means that there is already Active coverage on the Program Block. Single Month EDBC must be used.
Q: After running Multi-Month EDBC, why does the NOA show N/A for all Prior Medical months?
A: The two reasons this may happen are if Prior Medical wasn’t requested or if Prior Medical was requested but not added to the Program Block.
Note: These instructions presume this was discovered the same day EDBC was ran.
Run Single Month EDBC for the month of Application, Accept and Save if the results are correct. This will delete the Multi-Month NOA and a Single Month NOA will generate for the month of Application only.
If this was not discovered on the same day EDBC was ran, the NOA cannot be changed.
Multi-Month EDBC should only be used when there is a Prior Medical request.
There are two solutions to this depending on whether or not the error was caught on the same day Multi-Month EDBC was ran.
Instructions for same day EDBC ONLY
DO NOT USE IF ERROR WAS NOT CAUGHT THE SAME DAY
Run Negative Action
Negative Action settings:
Benefit Month: Month of Application
Person: All included in determination
Negative Action Reason: Voluntary Withdrawal
Timely Notice Exception: Yes
Reason: Waiver on File
Run, Accept and Save EDBC results to Discontinue if correct.
The previous Multi-Month NOA will be deleted and the new Multi-month NOA will display the Prior Medical determinations.
Instructions if not same day EDBC
Single Month EDBC NOAs will generate for each Prior Medical month. It is not possible to change the generated and mailed Multi-Month NOA.
Q: How do I override a Multi-Month EDBC?
A: It is not possible to override a Multi-Month EDBC. In order to override, you must run using Single Month EDBC.
