CSRA Not Counting Resources
Currently KEES rules are not correctly applying the Resource test for individuals who have had a CSRA determined. An incorrect approval may result for individuals requesting LTC coverage even though their countable resources remain above the resource limit but are below their established CSRA amount. When this occurs, the workaround should be completed to prevent incorrect benefits from being authorized.

2019 LIEAP Applications
The 2019 LIEAP season begins Tuesday, January 22nd. We’ve received reports from multiple offices of consumers turning in early applications by paper and through the DCF Self-Service Portal (SSP).
Paper Applications
Paper applications received in any service center should be routed to the regional LIEAP office to be imaged, registered and denied by LIEAP staff.
SSP e-Applications
The LIEAP program and associated application questions will not appear in the SSP until Tuesday, January 22nd. However, we’ve received reports of consumers submitting e-Applications without a program selected. Because a program is not selected, KEES workflow is routing these applications to the Administrative queue for EES. When EES Clerical staff call the consumer, they report they are applying for LIEAP.
E-Applications received in the Administrative queue for LIEAP need to be routed to Shannon Connell with DCF Admin. This process will be used until January 22nd. Follow the steps below:
1. Claim the task from the Task Inventory page.
2. E-Mail Shannon Connell at Shannon.Connell@ks.gov and cc Chuck Gilbert at Charles.Gilbert@ks.gov. Include the e-Application number, date of application, and Primary Applicant’s first and last name.
3. Void the registration task so a downstream task is not generated for EES Eligibility.
4. Do not add anything to the BPM tracker.
