KDHE Processing Deadlines for FY 2024 has been updated and can be found on the KEES Repository under Other Helpful Information.
The KEES Helpdesk has been made aware that Work Program tasks are not generating for newly approved TANF clients. We are working to resolve this issue. In the meantime, a report will be generated and distributed to catch any cases that have not been accounted for.
The data fix that was deployed on 12/29/2024 to prevent FA cases from closing at Review for no interview in error, was unsuccessful. If processing one of these cases, you do not need to report to the KEES Helpdesk that the data fix did not work. Rescind the FA Program, and process the review normally.
Updates to notices and forms to account for the new ABAWD ages are scheduled to be updated in KEES with the March release. Until those updates are made, staff should use the following copy and paste text to append FA Approval notices when there is an ABAWD in the household:
Federal law limits food assistance benefits to 3 months out of every 36 month period for people who meet all three of the following: are age 18-52, are able to work but not working or in a training program at least 20 hours per week, and have no dependents or other minor children living in the home. The 3 month limit does not apply to a person who is disabled and unable to work, working at least 20 hours a week, participating in a training program at least 20 hours a week, age 53 or older, pregnant, getting unemployment compensation, participating in an alcohol or drug treatment program, attending high school, college, vocational/technical school or other school. If the person(s) has a change in their situation and you think they may be able to get food assistance, please contact your DCF office for more information.
