The KanCare Proactive Communication Schedule is available on the KEES Repository under KDHE Communications. The calendar was updated on 12/09/2024 to include holidays for the months of 09/2024 through 08/2025.
When registering applications or adding a new address for a case, it is very important to take extra care in ensuring that an address is NOT changed for a child in foster care. Addresses are personal level data and shared across KEES. When an address is changed for a foster child on an EES case, the new address follows the child to the PPS and Medical cases. Children in foster care are assigned an address of the foster care agency they are associated with instead of the address where they are placed. This is a safety precaution for these children.
Tips to prevent accidently changing the address for a foster child:
Look at relationships of children on an application prior to registering or updating a case. If there is a foster child, do NOT update their address.
Do NOT update the address for children in foster care. Their address is the address to their Child Management Provider (CMP) and is used by PPS. All FC documents are mailed to the CMP since the FC case head is the child. Here are addresses for the CMPs that are used by PPS:

Uncheck “Same address as PA” when registering cases.
