The Federal Poverty Level updates effective in the benefit month of 04/2022 have been updated in KEES.
The reported issue of workers receiving an error when attempting to add Prior Medical months has been fixed.
The reported issue of an Approved month changing to Pending when the RMT is changed has been fixed.
The Buy In Deletion Report will be available to eligibility staff on the 14th of the month. The Buy In File will be sent to CMS early on the morning of the 21st. The Buy In Deletion Report that is received on 02/14/2022 will include all cases that lost eligibility on 12/31/2021.
The removal of the deletion records by Gainwell Technologies will need to be completed by 5:00 PM on 02/18/2022. Any cases that need the deletion removed from the CMS file, will need to have an email sent to the Gainwell Technologies Buy In Team no later than 2:00 PM on 02/18/2022 so they can be manually processed by the 5:00 PM deadline. The requests can be sent on a daily basis as the report is worked. Gainwell Technologies cannot guarantee that the manual processing will be completed before the CMS file is sent if the manual deletion requests are received after 2:00 PM on 02/18/2022.
If a deletion was manually removed from the CMS file last month, and the eligibility for that member is still not up to date in the MMIS at the point the deletion file is sent to CMS this month, that deletion will go to CMS even though that member is only listed on the Buy In Deletion Report once.
If a new buy in case is being approved on or between 02/14/2022 and 02/18/2022 and qualifies for immediate buy in, please send an email to the Buy In Team so it can be considered for manual accretion to CMS on the file. The member must be known to the MMIS to be manually added to the Buy In File. ksxix-buyin@gainwelltechnologies.com
Final KDHE Processing Deadlines - Fiscal Year 2022 has been updated and can be found on the KEES Repository under Other Helpful Information.
The Federal Poverty Guidelines and the State Median Income Levels were updated effective April 1, 2022 within KEES in preparation for the upcoming KEES release. On March 5th the Family Plan Income Limits Batch will apply the updates to all Active Family Plans, recalculate the Family Plan, run EDBC and send the appropriate notices. Overridden Family Plans will be skipped for each overridden month, however a notice will still be sent to the families.
Timeline of Events:
2/16: KEES was updated with the table changes effective 4/1/2022. Note: The changes will not affect Family Share Deductions already attached to existing Family Plans. This will occur with the federal poverty guideline batch process. New plans written after this date will reflect the new amounts.
2/17: Come-up Month becomes available. Any cases processed for April benefits will have the table changes applied. If the FSD increases in the middle of an eligibility period, staff will need to override to keep the FSD the same.
The weekend of 3/5 Family Plan Income Limits – KEES will apply updates and recalculate all Active Family plans, run EDBC and send appropriate notices. KEES changes that were implemented with the 2/26 release will prevent FSDs from increasing before the end of an existing eligibility period.
Overridden Family Plans will be skipped for each month that is overridden. EDBC will run and a NOA will be sent.
Lawful Permanent Residents that have not been in the US for at least 5 years are being coded as a MEM instead of FRE on TANF Programs. This seems to only be impacting TANF. Until this issue is fixed, send these cases to the KEES Help Desk for a workaround.
The reported issue of the Redeter Record Begin Date and IR Due Date missing or being incorrect after processing a Review has been fixed.
DCF Processing Deadlines – Year 2022 have been updated and can be found on the DCF Intranet under Policy and Procedures and in the KEES Non-Medical User Manual.
