Income Records Saving without a Frequency

We are aware that KEES is occasionally saving an income record without a frequency. If you encounter this issue, submit a KEES Help Desk ticket. Once the ticket is submitted with screenshots, add the frequency to the income record that was reported on the application or review.

Unable to Search e-App; KEES not Generating Task

We are aware of some e-applications not showing in KEES, so they are not able to be searched under e-Tools. This means that the task did not generate in KEES. If you encounter this issue, please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket. If the e-App can be found in Perceptive Content, the worker should manually register it and process the case from the PDF.

Medical Programs

EDBC Determining Incorrect SD in Prior Medical Months

We are aware of KEES sometimes setting a spenddown to $0 in the prior medical months erroneously. If a change in income is reported in the prior medical months, workers should follow the steps in the KEES User Manual. Pay special attention to the note under Income Amount Detail Page section in the KEES User Manual page, Unearned Income/Monthly Income.

SSP not Displaying Submitted Applications

We are aware of consumers applications sometimes not appearing in the View Application Status page in the SSP after submitting a KanCare application. If a consumer calls to report this issue, workers should ensure that the application was submitted to KEES. Direct the consumer to their Message Center as a confirmation message will generate after the application was submitted. Please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket on behalf of the consumer.

Auto Registered SSP Apps not Attaching Images to Case

We are aware that No Touch will sometimes register an application before the images of the case are available in Perceptive Content. Workers should manually re-index images to the case. Staff can follow the steps outlined in the KEES User Manual page, Re-Index Documents to Case Number in Perceptive Content. We are looking at how to fix this issue, but in the meantime, Help Desk tickets are not needed.

Spenddown set for Incorrect Month

We are aware of base periods being set incorrectly on the Super Come-Up Month Batch. If you encounter this issue, please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket. To correct the base period, follow the steps outlined in the KEES User Manual page, Troubleshooting - Medically Needy Spenddown, starting at step 3.

Reminder- Multi-Month and Spenddowns

Workers should be checking the spenddown amounts for each month prior to selecting the Approve and Next button. Review the KEES User Manual for process steps in Running EDBC Medical Multi-Month.

Reminder- Duplicate Documents in Perceptive Content

We have been notified that duplicate documents are being created in Perceptive Content folders. The duplicate documents are created from using the Copy button. To prevent duplicate documents, please follow the steps outlined in the KEES User Manual, Re-Index Documents to Case Number in Perceptive Content. We are looking at how to fix this issue, but in the meantime, Help Desk tickets are not needed.

Reviews Discontinuance Batch

The Reviews Discontinuance Batch will run on 03/18/2025 for reviews that were due in February 2025. Staff will see closures for Failure to Return Review.

Please note that when the Medical Reviews Discontinuance Batch runs EDBC for the benefit month, it uses the RE Run Reason. This Batch will only discontinue the program persons that were required to return a review. Any program persons who were not due for a review, or were passively eligible, will continue to receive coverage and the program’s RE Due Date will be updated to match the next person’s RE Due Date (in the case of Family Medical Programs, this would be the next available CE End Date). This means if the person who was discontinued for failure to return their review decides to return it, the RE Run Reason would not be needed and will not be available.
