Programs with a Review Due

We have received a couple of reports that the RE Run Reason is not available in the Run Reason drop-down on the Run EDBC page when staff are attempting to process a review. If staff should encounter this, please stop and submit a ticket to the KEES Help Desk. DO NOT proceed to run EDBC without the RE Run Reason. In addition, it appears that staff may still be able to run EDBC past the Review Due Date without selecting a Run Reason. Staff should not proceed. Please STOP and submit a KEES Help Desk ticket. DO NOT use the CE Reset Run Reason to process your case. Please place your case on hold and submit a ticket to the KEES Help Desk.

Spenddown Ending Tasks with Review Due

It has been reported that staff are having issues determining what to do when attempting to set up a new base period and a review is due.

Reminder:  When staff are processing a case where a spenddown is ending and there is a review due, staff will need to wait to run EDBC until the review is received and processed.  Once the review is received and processed, staff will need to run EDBC with RE run reason to set up the new base period.  If the review does not get returned, the case will be closed by the discontinuance batch and staff will not need to set up a new base period.

Reminder: Entering ABAWD Time Limit Records

Even though work requirements for ABAWDS have been temporarily waived due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Time Limit records should still be entered in KEES according to the guidance listed in the table below. Batches in KEES have been temporarily shut off to allow ABAWDS to receive more than 3 months of Food Assistance in a 36-month period. Making sure Time Limit records have been entered correctly will help ensure data collection for ABAWDS is accurate when there is an end to the Public Health Emergency period and ABAWD months must be tracked and counted again. The current ABAWD period is 10/2022-09/2025. Make sure Time Limit records are added to the current ABAWD period. For guidance on how to add an ABAWD period and Time Limit record in KEES, see the KEES User Manual.
