What’s New for Medical Staff:

TransMed and Extended Medical:

VLP Interface v.37 Upgrade:

As part of a CMS mandated upgrade, changes were made to the Verify Lawful Presence (VLP) interface that is initiated from KEES. These updates now require staff to manually initiate a Step 2 and Step 3 request, as appropriate. In addition, the previous tasks generated from this interface have been terminated and replaced with two new tasks. Please refer to the KEES Medical User Manual for additional information on how to run the interface from KEES and the details related to the tasks.

Medical Reviews Batch Updates:

The Medical Reviews Batch has been updated to account for the following items:

RCD Updates:

COLA NOAs:

Updates were made to allow COLA snippets to generate in COLA NOA’s that are produced by the COLA Batch. These changes will eliminate the need to update the COLA NOAs each year, because they were displaying incorrect information.

Denial/Discontinuance NOAs:

Changes made will allow Denial/Discontinuance NOAs to display multiple Resource Limits for an individual when the denial/discontinuance is due to being over Resource limits. This is for individuals who have both a Major and Minor Aid Code, such as LTC and MSP.

N810: Information About Working Healthy Program Form:

The Working Healthy Income Standards will now populate the form correctly, so WKH Benefit Specialists will be able to use the form.

Child Turned 19 Batch:

As of May 1st this batch will begin running. This batch will also be sending out the KC 1120 Application Form to be returned.

Updates to Training Material:

Buy In Reminder

The Buy In Deletion Report will be available to eligibility staff on the 14th of each month unless notified.  The Buy In file will be sent to CMS early on the morning of the 21st.  This means the Buy In Deletion Report will need to be completed by 5:00 PM on April 19, 2019.  KEES does not send MMIS updates on the weekend.  Any cases newly authorized between the 14th and the 19th that qualify for immediate buy in, or cases that need the deletion to be removed from the CMS file, will need to have an email sent to the DXC Buy In team no later than 2:00 PM on the 19thth so they can be manually processed.   ksxix-buyin@dxc.com
