You cannot rescind multiple program persons in different months using multiple Rescind Reasons. This will break the program block.
Example: You cannot rescind one person using CHIP Start in Future and another person using 2nd Month Ineligible, or one person using 1st Month Ineligible and another person using 2nd Month Ineligible.
If you find you have a situation where this would be necessary, a ticket should be submitted to the KEES Help Desk, and it should be requested that we move the program persons Beginning Date of Aid (BDA) instead.
Example:
Child 1 received FCM through 4/2025 and needs to begin MAGI coverage eff. 5/2025.
Child 2 received FCM through 5/2025 and needs to begin MAGI coverage eff. 6/2025.
Both children applied 4/18/2025
What staff are currently doing:
Running EDBC for 4/2025 and denying both children.
Rescinding both children in 5/2025 using 1st Month Ineligible.
Running EDBC for 5/2025 to approve Child 1 and deny Child 2.
Rescinding Child 2 in 6/2025 using 2nd Month Ineligible.
This now results in a KEES Help Desk ticket & a data fix.
Instead, please submit a KEES Help Desk ticket and request that we set the BDA for Child 1 to 5/01/25 and Child 2 to 6/01/25.

The KanCare Proactive Communication Schedule is available on the KEES Repository under KDHE Communications. The calendar was updated on 03/17/2025 to include the new schedule to account for KanCare reviews being sent out on an earlier schedule. Calendar is available from 09/2024 through 08/2025.
